Towering cedars stand so tall,
Standing far above them all.
Powerful arms reach to the sky,
Never mind the passers-by.

Humble trees on forest floor
Stand their ground and then no more,
Humbled by the cedar’s size
Stuns the watcher’s watching eyes.

Straight and tall it keeps on growing
Death and doom it is not knowing.
What a chance a tree so tall
To see the mighty cedar fall?

But Humble trees of lesser size
May see these giants fall from skies
And when the storms come pressing down,
The mighty cedar hits the ground.
