What Shirley Knows
For The Funeral of Shirley Ripperger

No one knows everything; that=
s certain as it goes,
But I would love to have the grace to know what Shirley knows.
She knows this life was wonderful but yet life=
s hardships come,
That life is only just a part, and now she knows the sum.
She knows the hope she had in Christ was really very true.
As far as both her eyes can see, the grace of God=
s in view.
She knows the glories of the place Christ said He would prepare,
He came as promised, took her home to see this promise there.
She knows her loved ones gone before: Margaret Teague & Joann
Powers.
They sit beneath the Tree of Life and reminisce for hours.
Shirley Wolfe and Doris Stone, and Rosa Broughton there.
They all enjoy the fellowship and benefits they share.
She knows that she will never leave that place of beauty fair.
That Beulah Land, it is called, its beauty is so rare.
She knows that she will live forever to wait for those to come
Who in this life have trusted Christ, are waiting to go home.
Someday we=ll know
what Shirley knows, but this is not our time.
Tomorrow maybe we will go to that great land sublime,
Where flowers bloom and zephyrs blow and sin is left behind,
And all ethereal things are real and flood our waiting mind.
So, won= t you come
and go with us to that celestial Land,
With nothing brought from here below, with nothing in our hand?
It would be nice if all of us could go where the saved soul goes
And never wonder what it= s like to
know what Shirley knows?
