Who Is Jesus?
By Pastor Dr. Ronnie Wolfe – June 5, 2010
I moved to the city to attend business school;
I rented a room up the stairs.
I knew not a soul, but I made a few friends
Encouraging me in my cares.
Downstairs lived a man who seemed to me strange,
But I never expected to hear
The man affirm from his lips, "I am Jesus,"
And told me to walk without fear.
I knew he wasn’t the Lord I had known
Since the time I had understood speech,
So I gave an excuse to leave in a rush:
"I must hurry," my breakfast to reach.
Next day I arose in the usual way,
Took my bath, and approaching the door,
I noticed they came just to take him away;
This Jesus is Jesus no more.
"Who is Jesus?" My thoughts rang out clear.
"What mind whether this man or that?"
I thought, "Only one can do as He did,"
And I left as I put on my hat.
